Keeping up to date with the latest announcements from Xero!
Xero have been working hard releasing lots of new features over the last year so you could have easily overlooked a few of the developments.
Here is a quick look at one of the important changes coming:
The new and improved payroll was released in April of this year and has significantly improved functionality and usability over the last few months. The Xero Payroll can now: Calculate the tax amounts (PAYE/Kiwisaver/Student Loan) & holiday pay/leave entitlements, prints payslips, export ‘employee’s net pays’ to your internet banking, export the IRD forms to myIR.

From 1 October 2015 Xero will unbundle the payroll plan from the premium package
What’s that mean?
Here’s what a Xero monthly fee could look like (excluding GST) after enjoying the BDO Rotorua discount
For an extra $10 p/m the payroll plan is added to your Xero subscription with 1 employee.
$1 for additional employees per pay run.
(Note: Xero cashbook plans not eligible for the payroll add on)
If you were using the new Xero payroll previously, and had more than 1 employee, you’ll notice that the unbundling from the previous plans may give you the opportunity to reduce your overall monthly subscription. You will no longer need the premium plan and can change to the standard package adding the payroll
$50 + $10 = $60 + $1 per additional employee per pay run (before discounts).
And don’t forget we here at BDO Rotorua as platinum Xero partners pass on a
25% subscription savings.
Contact a Xero Hero at the BDO Rotorua office if you would like more information on the Xero payroll plan or other Payroll ‘add ons’
